Iconic Bridges

A great walking experience

Lions Gate Bridge, connecting Vancouver with North Vancouver provides a lovely walking experience. We took a bus across from Stanley Park, got off just after the end of the bridge on the North Vancouver side and walked back. It was marvelous.

Capilano Bridge

In contrast to the urban Lions Gate, Capilano Bridge in North Vancouver gives one a feeling of being all alone in the wilderness. It is an awe inspiring and slightly scary experience, especially when it rocks from side to side under the weight of hyperactive visitors.

Across the Bosphorus

Bridge across the Bosphorus connecting Europe and Asia. They do not let pedestrians on the bridge, because of incidents of suicide.
